Ride615 Bicycle Shop was founded in 2012. The shop quickly established itself in the cycling community of Nashville through its high quality customer service and community development. Ride615 Bicycle Shop was nationally recognized by the National Bicycle Dealers Association being awarded one of America’s Best Bike Shops several years in a row.

In 2017 Ride615 Bicycle Shop was purchased by Scott Boyd who is continuing the tradition of friendly service and community involvement of the shop. With a 3,400sqft retail store in Hermitage, TN, a 1,800sqft store in the Sylvan Park neighborhood of Nashville, TN, and support from global bike brands, Giant Bicycles, SCOTT Bicycles, Niner Bikes, and Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Ride615 Bicycle Shop will continue to provide quality bikes, accessories and service.

About the owner of Ride615 Bicycle Shop:
Scott Boyd first started riding bikes in the early 1980’s in Vermont and began racing mountain bikes in 1987. He continued to race both road and mountain bikes even after surviving a life threatening bout with cancer in 1990. In the early 1990’s he raced category “A” for Ohio University while working on his Doctorate. In 1994 he rode his bike 4,000 miles in 10 weeks across the US and Canada, writing about the experience in his book What My Bicycle Heard. In the late 1990’s after moving to Turkey, he founded Marmara Mountain Bike Adventures offering MTB and road tours in that country. He then partnered with a sports event management company and opened a distributorship and bicycle retail space in Istanbul, Turkey. He continued to ride and race, moving to Toronto in 2002 where he worked as service manager for Bayview Cycles. After moving back to the US, he competed for the United States at the 2004 Master’s World Mountain Bike Championship in Quebec. Scott moved back to Europe in 2008 to take an academic position at Middle East Technical University and continued racing and riding in Cyprus and occasionally in Europe. In 2013 and 2014 he competed in the toughest amateur stage races in the world: the 2013 Haute Route Alps and the 2014 Haute Route Dolomites and Swiss Alps. Scott moved back to the US in 2016, living in Boulder, CO before purchasing Ride615 Bicycle Shop in early 2017.
